Days to maturity: 85-95
Spring Transplanting: Sow seeds about 3 weeks prior to transplanting. Harden plants 4–7 days prior to transplanting. After danger of frost has passed, transplant outside with 24-36” spacing. Handle seedlings carefully; minimal root disturbance is best.
Direct seed: Sow 2 seeds 1/2-1" deep. Thin to 1 plant per 24-36” after seedlings are established with 6' between-rows.
Can tolerate some light frost, but should be harvested before any heavy frost. Cut squash from the vine and sun cure for 5-7 days or cure indoors at warm temperatures with good ventilation.

Kabocha is a hard winter squash that can be difficult to cut. Should be cooked. Seeds should be removed prior to cooking. Can be cooked with skin on oto be removed after cooking, or skin can be removed prior to cooking.
