Planting Info
Start indoors in early April and transplant outdoors when seedlings are no older than 4–5 weeks old. Older plants tend to be stressed and do not perform as well as actively growing seedlings. Harden plants carefully by gradually increasing cold before transplanting out, 18" between plants and 24–36" between rows.
For fall harvest, start seedlings in May and transplant to the garden in June/July.
Tip: As cauliflower heads develop, shade them from direct sun or tie cauliflower leaves up around heads to prevent discoloration.
Harvest: Cut heads when florets are dense and firm. Cut with 6 inches of stalk.

Cauliflower can be eaten fresh or cooked. Cut florets into bite sized pieces. Stalks are edible as well, but tend to be tougher and more fibrous and benefit from cooking.
